The goal for this experimental book was to capture and curate 36 hours of my life. I arranged digital and 35mm film photographs of found typography printed on transparent acetate in clear plastic sleeves. The book measures 4.5"x5" and is separated by three transitional phrases in white vinyl lettering- M A K E, N E W, M E A N I N G S. The book is abstract in nature, meant to transform in meaning depending on the readers experience. It loosely illustrates my creative process- gathering inspiration and source material in my day to day life, often on film, analyzing the imagery I've gathered, then cropping, enlarging, rearranging and pairing work to create meaning and brief narrative moments. The translucency of the book pairs photos in front of and below one another. Relationships are formed on each page and change as you continue through the book- the readers own personal connotations will shape the narrative making each experience new. These relationships reveal themselves as you go through the book.
